Fashion in the Clubhouse

Six days ago I got an invite to The Clubhouse….I had no idea what I was getting myself into. #WhewChile

Clubhouse is an audio-only app where users meetup in rooms for conversations. The app is only available for iPhones and you must be invited to join by a current Clubhouse member. Unlike video formats, no need for makeup or hair to participate which is a big deal for those of us who don’t wakeup camera-ready.

The main part of the app is The Hallway where all of the meetings available to you to join are listed. The ones you see are determined by the Clubhouse members you follow. In a sense they determine your experience of The Clubhouse. You’ll see the meetings they host or participate in and those likes ones you’ve participated in before.

My joining The Clubhouse is convenient because I have met sooo many people who are in the fashion/apparel manufacturing industry. Everyone from designers, stylists, models, influencers, and boutique owners. Today I listened in on a three hour long call hosted by Grisel Paula, the founder of the +size fashion etailer Rebdolls. On the call were some of the celebs of the +size fashion industry – Marie Denee, Chenese Lewis, Maui Bigelow, and many more.

The conversation was just what I needed to learn where the industry is today since it’s been a while since I’ve kept up with the workings under-the-hood. It’s too much to cover in a single post so I’ll cover each topic individually over the next few weeks.

Until Next Time,
